Rash on face where tomato sauce was on skin...
Anyone DC get a rash from tomato sauce/acidic food touching their skin?
DD just had pizza (which she's had before), and made a mess with the sauce all over her face. When I wiped it off, she had red blotches all in the areas the sauce touched. She has sensitive skin, but this was more than she usually gets.
My mom swears its from the acidity in the sauce.

Yes, my DS gets the same way. It's the acidity in the tomatoes and usually goes away after a few minutes of cleaning him up.

yep, DD even gets almost like a diaper rash the next day when they are in her stool.

yep, yep...this ^^^. I wipe the sauce off if I can. But, she's not crazy about pizza anyway.

My dd still gets this at almost 5...she has super sensitive skin...I try to keep cream on her face, which helps as a barrier. When she was younger (and a messier eater), I would put a bit of aquafor on her cheeks and chin before she ate at as a barrier.

Yes my ds has this with tomatoe sauce, pineapple and peanut butter. Took him to allergist to be tested and all is good just skin sensitivity. Dr said just try to clean him as fast as possible.

Yes, definitely. Tomato sauce and spinach do it to her the worst, and so does pineapple. She's allergic to other things so I brought it up once at the allergist's office. She was totally not concerned - those foods are acidic and just burning her skin a little. It goes away pretty quickly if I wash her face off after she eats.
