Re: RCCL-Oasis of the Seas
I saw something written about it a few weeks ago it looks HUGE - I don't know maybe - I would want to see how they handle the crowds first. But it definitely looks interesting!
They are putting some really cool things on the new ships these days.

I would wait until 2010 so they can get the kinks out and service to be good enough for that many people.

Re: RCCL-Oasis of the Seas
RCCL has a new class coming out next year, the Genesis class. I am guessing Oasis is the first in the family.
I went on Liberty when it was 4 months old and I thought that ship was HUGE. I didnt notice anything if their were kinks. Food was great, entertainment was awesome, and we had a great time. On the second night the dessert was a grand marnier souffle and it was amazing. They werent going to have it again during the sailing but they put in a special request for our table and on our last night of sailing the chef made it special for our table.
I am looking forward to the Oasis. I really want to go on it next year. I think it debuts fall 2009 but not sure of it's itinerary.

This is the website
BTW that is not royal caribbean's website that is another company called direct line cruises that sells RCCL's cruises.
This is RCCL's site about the ship.

It does look cool but not sure how sailing with over 5k people sounds - as someone said wait to the kinks out - see how they are about disembarking that many people - I could only imagine how long it will take if they have to tender rather than dock.
There was an article in the local paper that they were putting in a boardwalk and talks of a carousel to attract NY and NJ people. The central park area sounds nice!
