? re: combo fruits in 1 jar. (ex: apples/apricot)

I had given my dd just apples and no allergy. I just bought some jars from wauldbaums that are combos: apples & apricots; apples & blueberries; and apples & plums.

These are okay to give even tho she hadnt had the other fruit by itself?

I figured since i know no allergy to apples, then if she did have a reaction it would be the other fruit right?

Or am I supposed to wait, until she has had both fruits seperate then i can do a combo jar?

Thanks

Yes, they're ok to use, as long as she's had all but 1 of the fruits/veggies in it. And then don't introduce anything additional for 3 more days, just like normal.

My pediatrician recommended against anything with any berries or citrus fruits for the 1st year for fear of allergies.

DD had no allergy to any of the stage one fruits. When she turned 6 months I gave her any stage two fruits (even if they were mixed). I guess I'm bad cause I didn't do the 3 day rule once she was out of stage oneChat Icon

apples are introduced for you, so now you can introduce the other fruits combined with apples.

as for keeping away from berries, I thought that was for raw berries? but baby food is cooked, so it's ok? trying to remember where I heard that.

You're right. My ped said "fresh berries" are a no-no.
