We have a concrete driveway and its not wide enough to fit both cars - I want to widen it - Who can you recommend and do I need a permit to do so ??
TIA

Re: RE-DOING DRIVEWAY
I just fm'ed you...We did not get a permit to widen the driveway. Our driveway was blacktop & was not enough for 2 cars. Now we can fit 4 on the driveway

Re: RE-DOING DRIVEWAY
keep in mind- if you widen the curb cut you will need approval from the town and your taxes will increase. But if you widen just the top by your garage you're good to go.
Good Luck!!

Re: RE-DOING DRIVEWAY
Besides the curb cut, you have to be careful how close to the property line you put the driveway. In my town (Islip), you have to be at least four feet from the property line. I think if you want to go closer than that, you need a variance and a permit.
