Re-post from Parenting:Glider/Rocker
Where did you buy/get your glider from?
And if you don't mind, how much did you pay for it?

We got ours from Forever Young when they were going out of business. It is a Dutalier set and I think we paid $360 for both. We got a bargain because they were closing the store.

We got a rocking chair called Dream Rocker from Pottery barn kids. It retails for about $1000 or less depending on which slip cover you want. Well worth it! The chair and ottoman are so comfy! Image Attachment(s):

Thanks we do too! When the family comes over I tell them to go sit in it and they all like it We figured it was something we can use now in her nursery and either she can keep it in there if she wants or we can use it as a regular piece of furniture anywhere.

Re: Re-post from Parenting:Glider/Rocker
We bought a Dutalier glider and ottoman from Target. The glider was $199 I think and the ottoman was $79.99. Much better prices than BRU or BBB, etc.
glider
we bought them at the store so we didn't have to pay shipping or wait for it to be ordered.

Re: Re-post from Parenting:Glider/Rocker
i'm leaning towards a Dutailier...
would love to snag one up at Target, but i don't see the oak finish option on some models i saw at BRU. the baby bargains book mentioned to check www.babycatalog.com for deals, but i have yet to match up items i have seen in person to what is available online to see if i can get a better price.
from what i understand, if one special orders (any finish with any fabric) a Dutailer chair it can take at least 10 weeks to come in .
the ones we are looking at are in the $400 range (excluding the ottoman).

Re: Re-post from Parenting:Glider/Rocker
My mom got us this one (an older model, it was back in 2004) from Target: Shermag Glider/Ottoman combo It's really comfy, even for my DH who's 6'4" tall. We use it all the time, first for feedings and now to read her books. We're going to get another one so we have one in each kid's room.

Re: Re-post from Parenting:Glider/Rocker
I got mine from BRU. It is a Dutlainer with an ottomon. I paid close to $800 for both pieces. Dutlainer has a big line so different pieces in the line have different price points. The Kmart line will be their lower end selection..which is NOT bad, just saying it is not the same that some have purchased. I highly suggest trying out the gliders prior to purchase. And your husband should also try them. Some were more comfty for me than others.
