RSofNY has an office in West Islip and Stony Brook. I go to stony brook and I like that office.
LIIVF has a Stony Brook office and one in Patchogue.
Dr San Roman has an office in Smithtown and he is affiliated with NSUH.

RE rec'd
With my insurance, I do not need a referral.... So do I just call and make an apt? How long does it usually take before getting a consult?

As far as RSof NY...You can just call and set up a consult appointment. If you make an appointment with Dr Lydic you will only see him or his partner Dr Bronson, and you will see a dr each time you are there unless it is just blood work. If you make an appointment with any dr then you will see whoever is on that day. I like all of them to tell you the truth. There are only 4 doctors that go to the stony brook office so it's not bad at all.
I don't think it took me too long to get a consult appointment. A week maybe two at the most.

Ok- this Dr takes my insurance and is close to home.
What do I say when I call? Should I tell my current OBGYN that Im going to be going to an RE?
I feel so funny because Ive only been TTC for 6 months.... (after getting preg very quickly with my first 2 DC) other than that and not getting my period (I don't believe Im Oing either- not every month at least!)- will they feel that's enough to warrant an RE?

RE rec'd
I would just call and say you are a new patient and you would like to set up your first time consultation appointment with a RE. I don't think it is necessary to tell your ObGyn. I didn't tell her, but I did tell her we were ttc. They don't ask for proof of how long you have been ttc. Wouldn't hurt to just go and get things checked out. Irregular periods and not Oing are good reasons too.
