RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
OK I'm giving in, giving up, looking into possibly seeing an RE.
I have my annual with my OBGYN on Tuesday. After that I have another round of blood work and then then endometrial biopsy.
But, I still want to look in to a RE.
I live in Northport - so someone in that area would be great. Any suggestion?

I really like the Long Island IVF group. They have offices in Port Jeff, Melville and Lake Success.

Re: RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
kathy- Question...are you going to tell your OBGYN your seeing one? They dont deliver right? So you will have to go back to your OBGYN once you get PG?
Im looking into it too, but I dont know how to tell me new dr, that I am going "above" her so to speak, and then make sure she doesnt feel slighted ( shes only human) and still give me the attention I need from HER.

I was worried about this, but when I mentioned it to my OBGYN, he actually *encouraged* me to go-- he said that's what REs are for, when you've been trying a while and it's not working!
To me it's not really going "above" the OBGYN, it's like going to see a specialist after you've seen your primary care physician-- just the next logical step.

Re: RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
Mineola is a little far for me. I'm looking for more in the Huntington area. I need someone close to me because I work in NYC so I need someone close to my house...and the train station....to make scheduling appointment easier. But you know what, at this point I will consider Mineola if I have to.
Im not going to tell my OBGYN anything til after these tests are over.

Kathy - Try Dr. Bronson - He is in Stony Brook. If you are interested I will get you his information.
My friend uses him and has referred a few people to him.
ETA: I just saw your looking for someone in Huntington. If you can't find anyone - I would highly recommend seeing this RE.
Here is his info. just in case.....

Re: RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
Reproductive Specialists are also located in Stony Brook.....same group as donna mentioned. 631 246 9156
My doctor is Dr. Maria Saketos..
If you need to know a bit more about them, I can let you know , how they work.
However, Kathy, you are thinking correctly. You need to find a RE that is near you or near your job.
Most Re's only do bloodwork in the early morning.....

Re: RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
I also agree with RSONY. Dr. SanRoman is the best! Dr. Saketos did our successful IUI. Check out their website:

Re: RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
I also use RSONY and I am seeing SanRoman. So far I really like them. But, I do have to say that judging by the amount of times I have to go there, you probably do want to find someone closer to you. I would tell your reg. OBGYN if I were you. This way she knows you are taking the next step. My GYN actually recommended I go to SanRoman. Good luck!!!

I go to East Coast Fertility. His name is Dr. Kreiner. They have offices in
Plainview (516) 929-2229 West Islip and Setauket
I agree you want to find something close, because you will be going a lot for blood and sonos.

I used RS of NY as well but went to the Stony Brook office off of 347. I saw mainly Dr. Cain or Dr. Stelling. Both were great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Re: RE Referrals in Suffolk Area
Take any appointment they can give you. Its not like you see the same Dr every time, uou will eventually see all of them.
