RE who embraces immunology as a reason for infertility
Other than Dr. Kofinas, are there any Dr.'s on LI who will willingly provide immune testing? After over a year and a half of trying I am set to go for my first IUI next month. However, I just have this feeling that it isn't going to work. I know there is the possibility it can but my gut tells me there HAS to be something else going on that just hasn't been diagnosed. And this whole business of "unexplained infertility" is a bunch of BS.
Dr. Kofinas would be my first choice but he is just too far (I am in western nassau, south shore). Thanks!

I haven't seen him so I cant comment on him but I know Dr. Jeffrey Braverman is a Reproductive Immunologist. I believe he has an office in Woodbury.

He's an obgyn BUT works closely with kofinas and does all the same testing. I went to him for the tests bc kofinas didn't take my insurance but he did. A lot of girls went there for that reason.
He's a great dr. Long wait tho and chaotic staff. But best way to get all the tests you need.

Why can't you see Dr Kofinas in Garden City. He cant be that far from you. Even though he's a Peri he will treat you and test you for immune. He will order anything you need while seeing an RE.

Hmm I didn't think was the same practice for some reason. The reviews online are horrendous. It is making me rethink my approach.

I see all three of the above mentioned. Kofinas is an awesome doctor maybe you got the reviews mistaken for another doctor?

I am also western nassau south shore and saw Dr. Kofinas at his Garden City office. Took me about 20 minutes to get there.

You are probably confusing him with his brother who is an OB. The Dr. Kofinas you want is Alexander Kofinas not his brother George.

I saw Dr. Braverman and he diagnosed my issue as immunological. I now have two happy and healthy little ones.
It is so important to find a doctor who listens to you. I started out at a group that just dismissed my questions and requests for additional tests.
