REA steering us towards a specific house...

...we put a bid in on a house, they countered, we countered...they countered yet again...then we passed on the house.

It seems the REA desperately wants us to buy THIS house. It's been on the market for a while, and maybe she feels we got "this close" so maybe she can convince us to change our minds.

My question is...and I know this sounds dumb...she's now showing me other houses that I may potentially put a bid on.

Can she purposely make sure I don't get these houses so I"ll be more likely to take the original house she showed us????

We were kinda in the same boat. We were stuck on this one house & back & forth but then the owners were stuck at a price & we were still about 15k apart, so we walked away. The agent kept pushing us or asking if we'd make another offer. We just told her it was time to look at other houses.

We did & I think she didn't think we were serious but then we put an offer on a new house & at that point she did whatever she could to get a sale.

If she's not working w/ you she's going to lose out as well.

I don't think she'll purposely mislead you, its not in her best interest either

The agent is probably trying to make the sale work, but SHE CANNOT sabotage you with any other house. That is ILLEGAL. I highly doubt she will risk her license like that.
