Reaction at injection site
Ryan had a flu shot and prevnar shot yesterday. The leg that he had prevnar in is a bit red, and he has a slight fever. I gave him tylenol before bed and he seemed fine - do I need to call the MD?

I would say it's normal.

Re: Reaction at injection site
I would...although I'm sure it's nothing, I would be curious to see what he says...but like I said, hopefully it's nothing but a local reaction to the injection site....

Re: Reaction at injection site
Thanks, I guess if it's still red tomorrow I'll give a call - he has another weird mark on his arm too so I can get 2 questions out in one call!

Re: Reaction at injection site
I think its normal. I think almost every time we got shots the ped has told us those were two perfectly normal possible reactions. That said DS has never had a reaction at the injection site but has always run a fever.
