who is w/ me in wishing they kept the maryanne storyline the way it was in the book!
hbo is dragging it out way too much and doing too much overkill on the orgy, and mind control stuff...

also, the way they played the bill kidnapping stuff, there will be no werewolves, no quinn, nada...

for the things they are keeping from the books, they are picking and choosing from different books out of order...

and stan is supposed to be dorky and gay?

godric was supposed to die as was lafayette and lorena too....

i'm very curious as to what hbo is going to do w/ it...

i have only read the books, i haven't seen the HBO series, but i think it's so funny to see the posts about the show (espcially the speculations ) b/c i am thinking - there is SO much more to the story!

i also sometimes want to correct the spelling of the character's names, like andy bellefleur

i am totally getting the first season on netflix

Im pretty sure that Godric dies next episode, same way he does in the book.

I hear ya. That Maryanne storyline is getting out of control. You know you can hear the writers- ok- so how many orgy scenes can we get into this season. But seriously, its gone on too long. I guess that's the nice thing about the book. Its all from Sookie's perspective so you can't see whats happening in Bon Temp when she isn't there.

Although I have to say, I love what they did with Jason- sometimes. He really is some great comic relief.

this maryanne storyline is out of hand, I'm not enjoying it at all. I love that they decided to keep lafayette though! I forgot how godric dies? I forgot a lot of the details about the book. I read all 9 and they all sort of meshed together.

I know. The maryanne storyline is ridiculous. I do like some things the show is doing vs. the book. I hope sookie doesnt goto eric instead of Bill.

I agree that they are totally dragging out this Maryanne stuff. I really wanted to see Eric in some spandex!

I also didn't care for the whole 'Jason and FoTS' storyline. I wonder if they'll stay true to the books and have Jason become the Werepanther-man.

I really hope they have the werewolves, I want to see who they have playing Alcide and Quinn.

The maryanne storyline is SOO dead now, its annoying!

I wanted to seee Sookie with Eric and with Alcide and Quinn...

there really is not much if any resembelence(sp)? to the books at all anymore.

i just read that they are bringing in the queen of louisana, sophie ann leclerq, (evan rachel wood) in the aug. 30 episode and she will be involved throughout season 3.

Me too, I am so sick of seeing naked people with black eyes. ENOUGH ALREADY! They are also bringing in her cousin Hadley but I am not sure if it is this season or next. And I am praying to see Eric in pink spandex but I am thinking it won't happen now

I am the type of person that reads a book and the second I finish one and start another, the first one leaves my mind and in situations like this, it drives me nuts! I vaguely remember Maryanne. I remember the monster that scratched Sookie but I dont remember the connection with it and Sam and werent Sookie and Bill broken up already? And I dont remember anything about Eric in spandex!

in the book, the maryann character had nothing at all to do w/ sam.
she attacked sookie to get to eric.

in the book the only thing between her and sam was that after she got her retribution (killing the people after the orgy who murdered lafayette) she and sam in their animal forms "frolicked" in the woods together b4 she left town.

sookie and eric (dressed in spandex to fit in w/ the hick orgy club) went to the orgy to find out who killed lafayette.

that scene last night w/ sookie and eric was hot!

i'm glad to see they are bringing in more elements from the books (the silver sucking and godrick meetings the sun).
but since they killed stan, he won't be having his gay wedding....

so who is ready for some anmesia so we get some more sookie-eric lovin'? (but who knows how HBO is going to play that angle in getting them together...)

and can they please be done w/ the marianne plot! sheesh!
