Ready-To-Feed Formula

Since ready-to-feed formula has to be refrigerated how do you warm it up when your out and about, like when you at the mall or running errands?

Thanks! Chat Icon

Re: Ready-To-Feed Formula

this is why I always used powder but of course cant now!!

I would go to the bathroom and run it under hott water.

RandiG's great idea is to boil hot water and put it in one of those thermos mugs and bring it with you.

Re: Ready-To-Feed Formula

I don't. If I know I am running to the store and he will need a bottle when we get there (or shortly after) I will just let it sit in my bag to get the chill out.

I am so happy that the similac powder is out again! I hate RTF

Re: Ready-To-Feed Formula

If i was able to get a glass of warm water then I would dunk the bottle in there to warm it up. I know some people put the bottle in their shirt/bra to warm it up. My girls never had a problem with cold formula so I never really worried.

Re: Ready-To-Feed Formula

I actually carry a it in cans, when we are on Good Start Gentle, it comes in 8oz cans. I just pop it and pour. DS doesn't mind it room temperature.

But I've considered, carrying a big mug around, big enough to hold a bottle in it. Asking a place that sells coffee for some hot water, and letting bottle sit for a few min.

I either asked for warm water or used the individual bottles of Similac (DS didn't mind it room temp).

Now he'll drink it cold so it's easier.

Haha Love you!!!! Chat Icon I always fill the mug all the way up, so that it stays hot and then pour a little out when ready to use it. Don't waste your money on the car warmers, the one I got stinks, not sure if there is a good one out there.

I go alittle more than an hour depending on the weather, but what I did was put filtered water in bottle and then put the powder in the formula dispenser and made it when DS was ready for it.

Now I amso use to the RTF i really dont know if I am gonna go back to the powder!
