Reality TV
IMO i just LOVE some of these shows... real worls, road rules (even though they are getting very repetitive in nature) Next Top Model, Apprentice, etc.
But i have to say that realitytv shows are always having to TOP one another. Take it to another level. And to me it is becoming a little sick and twisted.
A few months back they had some show about an adopted woman having to pick her "real" father out of a line up of men. SOmething about that just sickens me. How low will reality TV go to?
Even the real worlds and RR...IMO try VERY HARD to almost force drama. Not to mention now the casts looking to be more out there more extreme themselve...
Just makes me wonder how far will people go before someone say .....STOP!

Re: Reality TV
Red,
I posted my disgust with a new show on TTC. The show is called Inconceivable and here is a little bit about it:
NBC has a show coming out in their new fall line-up called Inconceivable. Here's the description, from their website:
This delightful ensemble drama concerns one of the most complicated questions: to conceive or not to conceive. The doctors of the Family Options Fertility Clinic are on a noble quest to help desperate couples give birth. Except these doctors are often distracted by their personal quests involving sex, deception and secrets. Navigating through ultrasounds and super-egos, missing frozen embryos and impending malpractice suits, it's positively clear that life inside this clinic is anything but sterile.
are you ***** kidding me? You thoughtless MORONS..Obviously NO ONE associated with this show has EVER dealt with IF!
Some Reality TV is certainly beginning to go TOO far.

Re: Reality TV
As long as there are fans of reality tv and people watch the shows it will never stop.
It's cheap to put on the air, a lot of the shows have tons of hype that boosts the rating which earns more money for the networks so they love them.

That's the most disgusting and heartless concept for a show that I've ever heard of!

People are getting hurt.
There was that girl that was raped in the Real World San Diego house.
And someone seriously injured themselves on one of the Survivors when they fell and their hand landed in a fire. The cameramen were interviewed and asked why they didn't help and their response was "we would have been fired" because it was good for the show to add drama or what ever.

Re: Reality TV
I have to say I love most reality shows. I am addicted. However, that Inconceivable sounds horrible, and I saw that one that Red was talking about where the girl had to pick her biological father...ridiculous!!!! When will it end???

I agree. It's going to take something pretty serious and of course, a law suit. Then the networks will get scared of being sued, no one will insure these shows and that's when it'll stop, I think.
Until then, they will continue to push the envelope as much as possible!
