Really bad stabbing pains?
I've been extremely crampy for a little over two weeks now. My doctor's seen me three times and keeps hooking me up to the moniter and it's never anything (never contractions). Well, today, I'm having stabbing pains all over, especially my lower stomach and back. It's nothing that lasts or is timeable, so what the heck is going on? Any thoughts?

Re: Really bad stabbing pains?
Could they be BH contractions? It's funny you post this because tonight I have been gettint sharp pains in my lower/left belly.
I'll mention it to my doctor tomorrow, but I know he's going to say "you will feel lots of strange and uncomfortable things" or something like that.

I've been having a lot of BH contractions (usually once a day now) and they don't really feel like them. They're a LOT more painful and I've been having them on and off all day.
My doctor always says the same exact thing, which is why I didn't even bother calling and asking

Re: Really bad stabbing pains?
Wow Kristin, I honestly don't know what the stabbing types of pains can be.
Very very rarely do I get SHARP pains with any consistency... maybe once in awhile I will in my pelvic area if he really kicks or punches the wrong way. When I have Braxton Hicks are more uncomfortable and 'crampy' feeling in nature (tightening) than anything sharp or stinging... so I'm thinking that might not be it..
If this continues maybe follow up with your doctor in the AM? Sorry I couldnt help more.
Feel better

I would call your doctor. Radiating to the front yet?? Do you think you're in early labor?
For the second baby, I had A LOT more Braxton Hicks & contractions prior to delivery. I'm pretty sure that's why my 2nd delivery went so quickly.

Re: Really bad stabbing pains?
You may also want to get in a shower (liquid epidural) to stop them.
