Really cool trip!
Yesterday I took one of my seventh grade classes to this place called Materials for the Arts - it's this place where big companies donate things and they give them away to non-for-profits to use. We did a book making workshop since we're entering the Ezra Jack Keats bookmaking contest. The kids had a great time and the staff was wonderful! The workshop was $175 and they tailor the workshops to whatever you're working on. It would be great for elementary schools - they have all kinds of puppet making workshops and other fun trips!
MFTA Also, if your school registers you can go "shopping" and take anything you want from their warehouse!
