Really sore from yesterday - work out today?
ladies, I'm hurting. BAD.
I took a boot camp class yesterday with lots of squats and lunges and today I can't walk down stairs or barely get out of my chair without my legs hurting.
I know it's only going to be worse tomorrow.
Everyone keeps telling me that going to the gym today and taking it easy will make me feel better tomorrow than if I do nothing at all.
True or false?

I know in the past for me, As sore as i was, I would try to work out the next day but avoid the body parts I worked out.

I dont think there is any avoiding being sore tom. I know It did feel worse the 2nd day.

That has actually been my experience. I usually feel better if I go the next day and do a mild workout. It will hurt through the workout and you will still be achy tomorrow but I feel it's usually better than giving your body a total break.
Feel better!

Re: Really sore from yesterday - work out today?
It has always helpedme to do a light work-out that next day regardless of how sore I am. It helps stretch out the muscles and ease the soreness. I wouldn't do more lunges or any weight training.. but walking/running may help.
Also, drink plenty of water... dehydration makes soreness worse!!

Uuuuughhhhh. I totally had good intentions of going to the gym and just walking on the treadmill but I can't do it.
As the day progressed my legs are so much worse. I can barely get up and sit down from my chair at work.
