Really stupid balloon question
We're doing DS' party at a hall and I need about 8 balloon centerpieces. I was going to have the arrangements made up at Party City and transport them to the hall, but I've never done that before and just realized that 8 clusters of balloons stuffed into a truck will probably get all tangled together. Is there any other way to transport them, or does anyone know of a different place that does balloons that maybe delivers?
Any other ideas besides Party City?? I cant think of any other place thats cheap.

Re: Really stupid balloon question
they should be able to separate them into bags for you to carry

Re: Really stupid balloon question
My friend transported balloons from Party City to DS's christening party. I told her to put a large plastic bag around each cluster to keep them separate, but she didn't listen and they were a tangled mess. Luckily the staff helped us separate them before the guests arrived. If you use the bags, it should be fine.

Re: Really stupid balloon question
This is my problem too. DS's christening is on saturday. It was sooo expensive for a balloon delivery so I just decided after some convincing from these ladies that transporting myself should work out ok. I'll let you know how to it goes. DH will be picking them up from Party City and dropping them off at the catering hall before the church. When I get there before the guests I'll arrange them how I want them. We'll see....

Re: Really stupid balloon question
If you get black plastic bags about 6 in each & you don't have to worry about them getting away.
J & D in merrick does a great job and they deliver too.

Re: Really stupid balloon question
Also be careful with the heat- if the the latex balloons hit hot metal they will pop. I used to make-up balloons during my first job (8 toooo long years) and people would keep coming back in because while loading the balloons in the car during the summer months, some would pop.
