Hayley, I would alert the management company and let them know that this note was taped while in the garage. Request a new spot and tell him to change his plates. I have an inkling that these guys are more talk than action, but with a baby, you don't chance these things. Definitely keep your eyes and ears open and report anything suspicious to the police. And keep me posted since I am worried sick about you.

I have been going back and forth about getting into this story, but I would have dh carry a blow horn or whatever, stun gun, mace.
My father is a marathon runner. Something very similiar happened to him, on Staten Island. Running one night, a car comes out of nowhere to cut him off...he says *** and keeps running.
Two Asian guys catch up with him about 5 blocks later. Same car, they were waiting for him. The man was 51 at the time. Complete prick pieces of sh!t.
I don't mean to scare you, but I would hate if something happened to your dh. This has been making me sick.

I didn't read thsis whole thread, so I'm sorry if I am repeating.
I would change the plates, request your spots be changed, and talk to the secuity people at the garage.
I would call the police, but not sure what they can do.
The whole typed out note is a little weird though.

Hayley, I'm just seeing this now. You've gotten some great advice already, but I just want to say that I also think the typed note is weird. I agree that maybe (hopefully!) the guys were NOT from that gang, but typed the note and used the gang name to scare Steve. It just seems too weird and when Steve called the cops, wouldn't they know if this gang was leaving these notes to multiple people. Maybe not, I don't know.
Stay aware and be careful. SO happy you're coming back to NY!

I don't think it's really from people in a gang. It's probably some idiots just trying to scare you. That being said, I would totally be freaking out if I were you. Definitely get the police involved. Look into changing spots and license plates.
