Reasonable hotels in Washington DC area
We are stopping in Washington DC on our way home from SC in a couple of weeks. I looked up some hotels online and they were . We are going with the kids - I don't need an expensive, fancy hotel - just one that is clean and in a decent area. Just outside of DC is okay (Crystal City, Arlington, etc.).

We did priceline and got a 4-star for under $100. You can choose the areas you are interested in too.

Re: Reasonable hotels in Washington DC area
I used to stay with my family in crystal city -I think at the Marriott they have a metro stop entrance right in or in front of the hotel.

Re: Reasonable hotels in Washington DC area
I work in Washington, DC I highly recommend downtown Silver Spring, I used to live there. There is a Hilton, Marriot, and Crowne Plaza. Tons of restaurants and bars in the area and the metro is there and it is a 15 minute ride to downtown.
FM me if you need more info

Re: Reasonable hotels in Washington DC area
We are staying at the Hampton Inn right outside of DC and the train is right up the block. We are going this summer. The hotel has a shuttle to the train. It included a hot breakfast too. I think the city is Springfield, Va. HTH

Re: Reasonable hotels in Washington DC area
We are going in September. We are staying just outside of Alexandria at the Courtyard by Marriott Alexandria for $109 a night... I booked through Orbitz. A coworker stays in Tysons Corners for $99 a night when she goes. The hotel has a shuttle to the metro which is close by.
