Reasonably-Priced, decent AC hotels
DH and his friends are all turning 30 this year, and we're talking about a group of 12-14 of us going away overnight to AC. It needs to be reasonably priced, as two couples are getting married, many of us are in various wedding parties, and a few of us are buying houses.
Any suggestions of somewhere reasonable to stay that's not too far from the casinos, or of any way to find good deals for the bigger-named hotels? TIA!

Honestly, you don;t spend much time in the room so it doesn't have to be a great room. A group of us stayed at I believe the Days Inn. It's right on the boardwalk, at the end by Tropicana. It was perfect for us. We also went to Carmine's right in the Tropicana-YUM. It was much less than the big name hotels. It was perfect!

Check out the Atlantic Palace Suites. It's an all suites hotel right on the boardwalk - they have studios, 1 & 2 bedroom units. I used them for a family reunion and found the rates reasonable and the extra living space was a great bonus so everyone could hang out in the room together comfortably.

Harrahs is usually a little more reasonable because its on the marina. They have little jitneys all the time that take you to the main boardwalk.... we almost always stay there.

Check out the Sheraton. I'ts right off the strip, but its a perfect location. You can walk when the weather's nice, or it's just a few second cab ride to all casinos. Also it's right accross the street from the outlets.

We are going during spring break and got a GREAT deal at Ballys. The Tropicana is good too, my IL's go there all the time.
