Travel Tom doesnt give you half as good as deals as when you just call the regular Amex number for travel. My g/f booked a much better honeymoon than I did and I went through travel tom and she just went through amex. I don't know why that was but I wish I had just called amex!

Did you go to the same place at the same time? Did both trips include the "cancel for any reason" insurance? There are so many variables involved in the cost of a vacation.
