Rec. your doula in Nassua county.
I will be delivering at North Shore Manhasset and would like to consult a doula. I have no idea where to start. Any feedback appreciated! Thanks!

Didn't use one, but I know one of the ladies who is part of New Baby Belly (newbabybelly.com) does this on a limited basis.

I do not have a doula yet, but here is a site that lists some doulas. You can call them and interview them.

you can't search by proximity, only by state, which is a PITA, but the sites that i used and were really helpful were dona.org and doulanetwork.com...goodluck!

Probably a dumb question...but what does a doula do? I remember a few girls used one when I was pregnant with DS but never looked into it. Are they kind of like a labor/birthing coach?
