recently married or engaged girls
I have 2 close friends that just got engaged. I want to get them a little something, not an engagement gift - but something cute to acknowledge their engagement.
Any ideas?
(no bridal magazines...my other friend got them that).

Someone got me a beautiful ring dish. I have used it every night since I got it, since I don't wear my rings to bed. Now that I am married, both DH and I use it.

When my friend got engaged a while back I gave her a little gift bag with thank you cards, the movie Father of the Bride with Steve Martin (it was really cheap) and a gift card to the restaurant they got engaged at...it was all about $30

One of my favorite engagement gifts was a Waterford ring holder.
We use it all the time (DH more than me now- I never take my rings off, even though I should... Before we got married, I took my E-ring off every night)

Wedding Vows book....my uncle got this for me and although we didn't write our own vows it had some great love poems, & quotes.

Maybe find a really good checklist online.
Type it out nicely and print it out on nice paper. Would cost close to nothing and would probably come in very handy.

I got one of those countdown to the wedding clocks. It seemed cheesy at first but when it got close to the wedding date I really loved looking at it.

My favorite engagement gift was a ring holder. It is right next to my bed and when I go to sleep I put my E-Ring and band on it. In the morning I put them back on and I know where they are. I recently bought one for a friend that gor engaged and she loves it.

We were engaged on 11/05/06 so my best friend made a Christmas ornimate for us shaped as a heart. On one side it said 11/05/06 and the other side said...and 2 shall become 1
