Reception Tax and Gratuity question
When a hall adds tax and gratuity do they add them each separately or do they first add tax and add calculate gratuity to that or vice versa?
I feel like they should each be calculated separately then added on to total, but now that I'm looking around for a party I feel like they just add one on top of the other. KWIM?
Seems petty, but when I try to do it myself I come up with a difference of about $100 for the whole party.

Re: Reception Tax and Gratuity question
this was brought up so much on LIW -- they tax the gratuity cause on your gratuity its called a "Service Charge" and therefore they can tax it.
kind of sucky but one of those things that happens with weddings.
