Recomendations for Shampoo/Conditioner/Treatments for fragile, breaking hair?
Yeah I've been a little over zealous with highlights and heat styling. My hair is fine and fragile and I am noticing some breakage on the sides. Nothing crazy but enough to bother me.
So I am laying off the heat tools for a bit and trying to slow down the highlights too.
In the meantime, what's good for strengthing the hair? Anyone have any recs for Shampoos/Conditioner/Treatments for damage or breakage?
I want to baby it for a while until it gets back to normal.

I've always liked the Pantene deep conditioner that comes in a tub like container with a green top. Also try using a leave in conditoner. Redken makes a great one. It's in a blue bottle. Image Attachment(s):

It's an oldie but good, my Nexxus Therrape Shampoo and Nexxus Humectress Conditioner. Leave the conditioner on the ends for a few minutes longer twice a week. Also, before styling, put some Morrocan Oil on the ends. My hair was getting stressed out and a few weeks of babying it with the above products and laying off the heat really did wonders. My cuticles are much smoother and it's shinier. I've also started leaving my hair just a bit damp and braiding it at night so I dont have to style it too much in the morning. I just unbraid, add a cute clip and i'm good to go.

I use these every day and once a week I use this deep conditioner. My hairdresser commented that I brought my hair back from the dead because it was all busted and fragile and broken now its soft again. I know its from this stuff. As you know, we have the same hair Seriously, I HIGHLY recommend it, but be forewarned, your hair will look bad the day you use it and the color looks a little 'off', like darker. We have such baby fine hair that the day you use it, it will just be limp. Its also only 60 seconds which is nice but you can leave it in longer, I try to but at least I can commit to it every week because its not like I have to leave it in for 10 minutes or anything.

I agree about Nexxus but what did it for me is go back to single process.
I stopped highlighting and my hair grew in thick and strong and has now passed my shoulders and has bounce and curl. I can actually put some anti frizz stuff in and let it air dry.

Thanks! I will have to try this The deep conditioners always leave fine hair limp, but it's a necessary evil I will just use it on a day I dont' have much going on! Sometimes I even use a deep conditioner like this at night, then rewash in the morning!

Nexxus Pro-Mend line is great and pretty new, but you should treat it once a month with Nexxus Emergencee Treatment.
