Recommed a good men's mountain bike
DH's mountain bike got stolen from the LIRR station last year.  Lock was cut. His birthday is not until July but I wanted some recommendations for a good bike that doesn't break the bank.
I want to start saving now so I don't have to put it on the credit card.
It will mainly be used for riding around the neighborhood.

I got DH a Trek at Brands in Wantagh. Very reasonable and they are great with service too.

DH and I both have Trek bikes. They are fantastic bikes and really take a beating.

Trek. There are $$$ (although they have come up with more affordable options in the last 10 years) but you can find replacement parts unlike some cheaper bikes.
I have a competition Trek mountain bike. It's super light. I have had it for 14 years. Still looks like new! No rust!
