recommend a cell phone that has a good keyboard
should be something that is available with Verizon. I really want an iphone but I may never get used to being withut a keyboard. I even returned the first Droid phone because I didn't like the keyboard. Now I have a different Droid but it is time to replace it.

I didn't think I could deal with the keyboard but I got used to it quickly. Iphone..really no biggie and I still use my berry for work.
While I prefer a qwerty keyboard in general I am not finding any issues with the iphone keyboard.
I lurve my iphone..why did I wait so long to get one?

I love it.
GREAT keyboard- the keys are so big and easy to type on- backlit too.
Go check it out!

I love my Blackberry Torch - you can use the slide out keyboard or touch screen keyboard

Ditto. I love my Droid 4. It also has SWYPE, if you want to use the touchscreen to type. SWYPE makes it really easy because you just drag your finger from one letter to the next, and it identifies the word. I figure it's a good phone on which to get used to a touch screen, while still having the luxury of a keyboard.

I have a samsung stratosphere that has a slide out keyboard. It's 4g and cheap, too. With a 2yr contract, I think it's free right now. I paid $100 when I got it.
Also, I like swype--that's helped me get used to the touch screen. I'm not good with a touch screen keyboard, generally, which is why i got one with the slide out.

I won't get an iphone for that, and other reasons. I have the Blackberry Bold with an amazing keyboard

just got the droid 4. i had the blackberry curve and i've held off on a better phone because i really hate the touch screen. i was so happy they have came out with the droid 4 because you have the option to use either typing method. the downside is it is a bit on the heavy side, but otherwise i like everything else about it!

I dont use SWYPE on my Droid 4. i use the keyboard. Its great!

You can change that...swype is an application...if go to messages and hold down the area where you type (hold for few seconds) then select "input method" and chose what you like.
I am the same way I need a keypad, I have the Samsung Galaxy S for Droid (there are updated versions now)

I have the HTC Ozone as my work phone, and I love it. I've never really used it for anything other than email, text or calling but it is a great phone.

i went into the verizon store thinking I could never give up my keyboard, but i told myself I had to at least give the nonkeyboard phone a chance. I was sold in under a minute.
Try it out - you might be surprised!
