Recommend a good 'kabuki' brush - not bare ecsentuals
I am done with my BE kabuki brush. it sheds all over my face and clothes. so annoying! it's also not as soft as some of the other brushes I use. so I would like to buy a new one.
can anyone recommend something other than a BE brush?

What is a Kabuki brush? I googled it and I got several contradicting explanations, so I will just trust the LIF answers! . Anyway, I like Beauty Strokes brushes for most uses. I get them at Harmon. I have allergies but these brushes always seem to be fine. They are inexpensive, so I just replace them more often than I would replace a more expensive brush. I did have some shadow brushes that fell apart but that was after I had them way too long anyway. It looks like they do have a Kabuki brush. see left side of page I have 1-2 other brushes that are Lancome and I like them.

I wish Sonia Kashuk made one. I absolutely LOVE her brushes!! they never shed, they're so soft, and great quality! she has a travel size kabuki, but it's not what I want.

I got a great 'kabuki' brush by essence of beauty that I love. It's a brown brush, not the black ones and I think I got it in CVS.

I have to agree with MAC they last forever as long as you keep up with cleaning them properly.

honestly i bought a cheaper one from ulta (don't know the brand, but it's got a short, frosted plastic handle) and it works very well!

Re: Recommend a good 'kabuki' brush - not bare ecsentuals
do u use b.e. cosmetics???? if it's for that, i actually reccomend the soft focus face brush(now the hydrate&brighten brush)...it's like HEAVEN on ur face.. it does not shed at ALL because it's a synthetic blend rather than all natural bristles.. a lot of the brushes that have all animal hair go through a heavier shedding process & are more maintenance with washing and stuff.. this is the brush..I LOOOVE it & i will never go back to the others! also - if u DO go with a different brand, just make sure the head of the brush is tapered..if its an even round top it wont pick up the minerals. hth!

I got suckered into buying a Bobbi Brown one. I have no idea what it's used for so it has never left it's case...

It is used for mineral powders. The shape picks up & distributes the minerals better or something.
Does Bobbi Brown have a mineral line? I guess you could use it with regular loose powder, but I'm not sure how it helps.

I have that brush! It came with a kit with soft focus warmth, rose radience & bare radience. I never tried it for foundation though. Good tip! Thanks.

I have no idea.. I don't use mineral powder.. some chick told me it was good for bronzer and blush...
I'm a make-up counter sales person's wet dream... I'd buy ice if they sold it.

yikes...Kabuki brush is NOT for blush!!! kabuki is good with any mineral product(as are any tapered brushes), but the kabuki is for heavy coverage. I really would only reccomend it for foundation...MAYBE bronzer..but def. not blush - whatever chick this was, was wrong lol..

i second the arbonne kabuki brush it is best used with mineral foundations and bronzers, its more of an all over coverage brush
