Recommend a restaurant for our Anniversary!
-Western-ish Suffolk-Eastern Nassau (I'm in West Islip)
-Moderately priced
-Has a nice bar for drinks after or is within walking distance to someplace to have drinks
-Maybe something a little different- which could be pretty much anything because we're always eating at chain places
-Nice ambiance- possibly waterfront or with outdoor seating?
-Do NOT want to be surrounded by singles looking to pick up other singles/get laid/jersey shore types/meat heads (I know most places in Babylon are like this after dinner hours on weekends...)
Any suggestions?
I posted this on FB and so far I have Nonnina in West Islip on the list of possibilities.

Recommend a restaurant for our Anniversary!
DH and I are going to Barrique in Babylon for our anniversary in a couple of weeks. I've never been though.
DH knows one of the chefs.

I love Hudson Mill in masspequa. DH & I have gone 2x and both were great. Small bar area but its nice.

Oh the other place we love is in BayShore - Tula Kitchen. Different kind of menu but everything I have had there I loved.

I used to work there  DH wouldn't go for it. He hates anything too "healthy"

my anniversary coming up too and i heard nonnina is great. i also live in west islip. I totally agree with you about the babylon restaurants!!! I have been to fat fish and captain bills. both are nice- but i want something different. Let me know which one you try!

Verace in Islip. It's not by the water, but there's a lot of places to grab a drink afterwards in the area.

Taj Tandoor is an Indian place. You can bring your own bottle of wine and they will serve it to you there. It's on DPA, so there are other things around.
