Indigo is one of my favorites in town...a little further north is Piccolo's and it is outstanding.
Red is good too.

I love Cassis on Wall St. Yummmm!!
The Cooke's Inn is great too, but very plentiful so you have to be hungry.
Rockfish, and European Nation for french fries!! lol!!

I think of all those listed - which are all great suggestions - only Rockfish is on restaurant.com. We may try it!

Re: Recommend a restaurant please
Besito is excellent-best guac ever. Pancho Villa is pretty tastey too and a little less expensive. Don't think they're on restaurant.com though.
Where not to go is La Madonna. It's ok for drinks, but the food was blah.

Re: Recommend a restaurant please
Out of the restaurants listed on restaurant.com:
*105 Harbor (CSH) has great food and a nice view!
*Beldam (CSH) was ok. On the small side and I wasn't impressed with the service.
*La Madonna's (HV) food isn't what it used to be. (Better for drinks in warmer weather.)
*Mim's (Syosset) is awesome! Love their food!!! We just celebrated my DH's 37th there with family & friends.
*Lila's Santa Fe Kitchen (HV) is pretty good (they have great burgers along with sweet potato fries.) And who would say no to a margarita!?!
*Piccolo (HV) is excellent, but pricier and dressier.
*Rockfish (HV), I haven't been there yet (I'm not big into seafood), but considering Tom Schaudel is a partner, it has to be good.

Re: Recommend a restaurant please
Rockfish is very good...plus it's in Finley's so that's always nice for a few beers
Forgot about Cassis - excellent!
I've banned Lila's - I tried it 3 times and the food was terrible each time.

Re: Recommend a restaurant please
out of the restaurants on restaurants.com near Huntington I would recommend...
105 Harbor (CSH) good food, good view, strong drinks, and I heard it was haunted LOL - but that could be a rumor
also
Off the Wall (HV) , good food, view not so much, but it is pretty lively atmosphere
