Recommend perennials for sun and shade please : )
I want to replant in my backyard garden and want to plant perennials. I have a small section that gets NO sun and another section that gets sun 75% of the day. Both sections are relatively narrow, so I can't plant something like a hydrangea that grows really wide after years of it being there.
Any rec's? TIA!

Shade: Hostas
Part sun/shade: - Eucheras (there are so many variety and colors from burgundy ("purple palace" to gold). - Liriope (lilyturf grass). I like the variegated best
Those are my prefered plants because I have had great success with them. They are fairly compact too. Relatively inexpensive and you can dig them up and divide them when they get too big. Especially the Hostas.
I have another one that the name escape me. It's about 1 foot tall. I loses it's leaves in the Winter. And get pinkish flower. I will get you the name. It's in part shade/sun in my yard
ETA: It's called Weigela Florida "My Monet"
