recommend your cat litter--i can't stand mine anymore!

i like the clumping litter but i need something that is relatively dustless. i can't stand when i scoop mine and the dust goes everywhere.

please recommend yours! or tell me which ones to stay away from.

I use Fresh Step. Been using it for years. it has minimal dust.

Which one were you using?

I love Yesterdays News. Its pellets rather than the clay type. Its relatively oderless and the few pellets that come out of the litterbox is so easy to vacumn up

I've been looking for a new one too. Can you still scoop out the clumps? Just asking cause I can't stand to look at the poop and need to scoop a few times a day.

oo...Lavender.. Is it more $$?

Target usually has it at a good price. Petco is the most expensive. I get the 28 lber.

World's Best Litter ... hands down the best. I have a cat with asthma and can only use dust free. It is corn based and does not smell like litter.

We absolutely LOVE Swheat Scoop! We also wanted something that was plant-based. It's made entirely of wheat, clumps really well, and it controls the odor really well (we currently have 7 cats, so I should know!)

I've only seen it in Target.

SWheatscoop is very good. We just recently started use World's Best Cat Litter. Its make from corn, and clumps pretty well.

Re: recommend your cat litter--i can't stand mine anymore!

I have gone through sooooo many litters since getting my cat. He's black, and LOVES to dig and bury, so with the regular litters he comes out all dusty. I hate it!! I have tried Tidy cats, scoop away, yesterdays news, & World's best. I am next going to try feline pine because I STILL haven't found a litter I like.

the tidy cats and scoop away are dusty IMO, the Yesterdays news seems to always have that ammonia smell (and I clean it everyday) It doesn't "clump" and that's another reason I don't like it. The paper pellets just expand. The world's best litter was really good at clumping, and had no smell but....he would come out of his litter box a dustball.

I love my cat....but this drives me CRAZY trying to find the right litter !!!

yeah its nice, its thin letter and clumps really good I have black cat and no dust on her. I saw it @ King Kullen, had a $2 coupon attached to it so I figured what the heck. (its the box w/handles) dont thing it was anymore then regular sent.. it was about $8.50 for the box w/handle. and the -$2 so it was pretty cheap.

I love and use Freshstep Crystals...so much better than clay.

Odor is DEFINATELY absorbed much more with this; you don't need to change it as frequently as you do with clay (I was changing the clay every 2-3 days - I just don't like the idea of a litter box...so I make sure that I CANNOT smell anything...with this I change it 1 time a week)

Same here. My mom uses Scoop Away. It clumps SOOOO well too.

It is dusty once you pour but once it settles - she never has a problem.

I go over twice a week and scoop for her and I love the smell of it. Chat Icon

I have to say, out of all the brands I tried, I keep going back to the BJ's brand of scoopable liter.
It clumps nice and hard, smells nice- I just like it overall.

I think I might try this! The one with the hood (which I need cause Jack is a messy litter box user) is so $$$ though! But my basement is so dusty from scooping every day!

Re: recommend your cat litter--i can't stand mine anymore!

I really like the tidy cat clumping, I actually like the way it smells. I can't tell how dusty it is tough because my cat likes to flick litter out of box like a mad man.
