Recommend your dog vet in the Bellmore area
My parents dog has an ongoing ear problem and keeps biting his tail. his current vet keeps treating it but it comes back. i want them to see a second opinion.

Dr. Ned Horowitz at Massapequa pet vet is a VERY good vet. He is also a great surgeon. Not cheap but he is a great vet.
Is it possible that the tail is just allergies/dry skin (needs benedryl and topical treatment) and the ear infection is coming back because they are not treating it thoroughly. Ears are tricky to clean. You need to fill up the entire ear canal (way down in there) with cleanser and then squish/kneed the ear to get it all over and down the canal. Then wipe out all the excess that is at the surface. Then apply the medicine inside the ear.

I love them! I left when Dr Hernandez left but Dr Ferber was awesome too! I haven't been happy with a vet since then and plan on going back to them next year when Murphy needs his annual visit again.

Saw you were looking in the Bellmore area, but I use East Village Green in Levittown, I looooove them!!!! Dr. Blonder gets on the floor with the animals, and you can really just see he loves what he does!
