Recommend your favorite jeans if you are apple shape, please
I'm so done with jeans, I have nearly given up. After giving birth, I just can't wear them anymore. They are too tight around belly and baggy on my butt. At the end of the day, my belly is hanging over them. 
I'm petite on top of it, so all the worse.
eta: in dresses I do 12P, very well. But in pants, god help me, I have a range of size 8-14 and everything just sort of fits, and I hate everything that isn't a yoga pant.

They are a bit expensive but the Perfect Boot Cut jeans at the Gap are outstanding. They are cut so that the waist goes straight up instead of coming in so NO MUFFIN TOP. They look great on my legs and arse  and are soooo soft and comfy.

I love the Gap Curvy line. They sit low on the waist so it is flattering. Also there Sexy Boot Cut Stretch, they are a bit higher on the waist so they shape you a little better.

I agree, GAP curvy is great...
Also, not sure what size you are, but if you are more than a 12, if you go to Macy's they have a line called Style & Co. Tummy Control. These were great for me the first year after I had my DS until I started losing some weight.

Oh I just checked I have these, they were huge all around for me! Honestly, I thought they were too thin, kwim? I prefer a little weight to hold in stuff, but not stiff ... and streatch is good, but in flimsy stuff its so bad for me

you have to go down a size in them! sorry, i should've mentioned that. and i've found that different washes are different weight, too.

I just bought Levis Super Skinny Legging Jeans. They are AMAZING! I want a pair in EVERY color. I got them at Macy's for $32.

I'm pear shaped, but my new favorite jeans are Not your daughter's jeans. They seem to flatter any shape. I usually HATE wearing jeans, but I  these!!

The verdict:
Gap Curvy wins for me, a lot less muffin than any of the other Jeans I tried! And the dark wash came in a nice thick material I like.

They do. I can't wear low rise, the ones I have come just below my belly button.
