Recommend your flat iron
Also, what is the difference between a $30 flat iron and a $120 one?

Re: Recommend your flat iron
In theory, a $120 flat iron will have ceramic plates and be nicer to your hair - make it shinier, not cause as much heat damage/breakage. But it really depends on the iron. I spent about $120 on a Babyliss Pro last year and I hate it - my hair is pretty fine and wavy, not even curly, and this expensive iron doesn't straighten it very well.
I keep hearing about the Chi and the Sedu, and will probably buy one or the other before my first day of work on Tuesday!

Re: Recommend your flat iron
A few years ago I bought a Revlon straightener and it was too big/wide and did not get hot enough to do anything for my hair!
I bought the Chi after going out to get my hair straightened for every occasion.
It was on sale for $90 and it does WONDERS for my thick poufy hair!!! I highly reccomend it!
1st pic...my hair regularly (pre-hot iron)
2nd pic.... not the best cause its on a windy boat but straightened with the Chi Image Attachment(s):

Re: Recommend your flat iron
I have a $30 Clairol one Works just fine for me... My hair is very fine and used to be pin straight. I had two children and then it started to grow in all wavy... SO I use it a little after blow drying if its not as straight as I would like it.

Re: Recommend your flat iron
Do you go to Roosevelt Field?
Well... in front of American Eagle there are these annoying people that run this kiosk with these amazing flat irons...
So... I usually never stop at them becuase I utterly hate them (and I admit it... I used to work at a kiosk when I was younger... but I NEVER went out and annoyed people to buy things)
ANYWHO... The flat iron is AMAZING... pricey but WELL WORTH IT!

Re: Recommend your flat iron
i just got a oink one from ulta by the same people who make my fave hairdryer, FHIHeat.
i'm still on the fence about the flat iron...i got the 1'' plates and i think i prefer plates that are a little bigger. i do like the fact that it will curl as well as straighten though....
