Recommend your laser eye surgeon
So every year I waiver about getting laster eye surgery but this year I have made the definitive decision to go through with it.
Only problem is that I don't know who to go to.
If you've had laser eye surgery in manhattan or queens and loved, loved, loved your doctor, please recommend.

I know he's in Suffolk, but he's done by husband's eyes, and a few LIW girls I spoke to used him, Dr. Basalice in Setauket.
I know it's Suffolk, but I've heard great things about him, and maybe he also works out of offices close to you as well!
Or he could call and offer a referral in your area.

I had mine done by Joseph Dello Russo and I would recommend him highly. He has a coupld of offices in NY. Here's his website --

i have heard great things about dr jeffrey martin of the north shore eye care center in smithtown. i know at least 4 people who went to him and were very happy

Dr. J. DelloRusso also did mine in Manhattan. He was great, it's been 4 years. It was the best money I ever spent !!!

Dr. Hatsis, Rockville Center. Mine was done over 6 years ago and I am still very pleased. I know someone who had it done there more recently and he is just as happy as I am.

My entire family has been using Dr. Passarelli, founder of LI Eye Surgical Center in Brentwood. They have 2 additional offices on the island as well. He is excellent to say the least! My mother had the laser eye surgery so she wnot have to wear glasses, my grandmother gets laser surgery all the time b/c she suffers from macular degenration and my dad and cousin go there for laser surgery they need b/c of their diabetes.

That's where my dad just got his done and is having a lot of problems. They have been amazing though so I think it might just have been an unfortunate side effect. But they have bent over backwards to make sure they get him 100%- as far as calling an office in Denver to set up an appointment for him while he was out of town then following up to make sure he made out ok. He will be following up this week with them so hopefully after that I can give you a definate reccomendation!

Wow - I'm so sorry your dad is having problems! I hope they can fix it!!
I used Dr. Donnenfeld as well and he was great. My regular opthamologist recommends him so highly. He even had his daughter-in-law use him.
One of the best things I have ever done for myself!

dr . donnefeld did my surger and both my borthers - all have perfect vsision for a few years now
both me and my one brotehr were extreme cases and it worked out wonderfully for us
definetly worth the money

They did mine and my mothers in 2000.
I had my eyes done at this same place about 3 years ago. They were amazing. Pleasant and extremely thorough. They even have an office in Hauppauge for follow-ups (not for the sx, though).
My vision was corrected from 20/400 in both eyes to 20/10 (which is better then perfect). It's a 5 min sx that was the best thing i EVER spent my $$$ on.
