Recommend your pack n' play/playard
So now that I heard about the horrible news with the 4 in one Simplicity bassinet my DH and I decided not to use it with baby #2. Instead we decided that we need to buy another pack n' play so we will use it as a bassinet the first 3 months in our room. I am looking for a Pack n' Play/Playard that has the following:
- a sturdy bassinet - is not too big - can fold up pretty easy
TIA

Re: Recommend your pack n' play/playard
I LOVE our Graco pnp! We used it for the first 7 weeks as a bassinet and changing table. Then we just left it in our bedroom, collecting dust. Around 6 months we started using it again in the house everyday to 'contain' him.
We also have a travel playard made by Cosco. It is supposed to fold up just like the Graco one, but is a bit smaller. We thought this would be great for when I brought him to work or he had to sleep in a hotel or friend's house. This thing is a piece of crap! (Okay, the structure is fine, but it won't fold up.) I fight with it all the time.
Now we use the Graco one everytime we need a pnp out. The Cosco one is in our living room. Once it's time to fold up the Cosco one I will be tossing it into the dumpster. I wish I had just used the Graco all the time from the beginning. It would've saved me hours of wrestling and swearing.

Graco PNP rock!
I have one, so does my sister!! Set up is a piece of cake, I did it alone!!
We have a 2nd one we used to travel with last week & it was easy to take down.
Right now I am using the bassinett part and DS is about 14 lbs and even the changing table part is realy sturdy! My sisters PNP is actually a bit nocer then mine as far as it's changing table is a little more elevated (easier for me to reach) and the changing table folds up & out of the way and it has a canopy to block the sunlight out

We have the FP rainforest and loved it for DS.
We just retired it at 14 months. We used the bassinet portion when he was an infant. We used the playpen version until this month. We took it with us as his bed for a trip we did 2 weeks ago.

We have a Graco PNP. They are great. They fold and pack up very easily.

I have an evenflo PNP and I'm not a big fan of it. My parents got a Graco PNP and it is so much nicer and easier to put up/take down.

Re: Recommend your pack n' play/playard
This is ours
but we have it in Navy. It is Graco and we liked it. We used it as a bassinet at first, a changing table til like he was 4 months and now we bring it with us if he is going to the sitters, etc.
My parents have a Cosco one, and they are pretty cheap (I think like $40) and it is fine for him to sleep in when we go to their house--like tonight! But I don't think it has a bassinet.

Thank you so much for all your responses. For those of you that have the Graco Pack N' Play can you tell me which style. I notice there is a range in style and price.
Thanks again.

Re: Recommend your pack n' play/playard
I have the Graco Milan. If I had to do it again, I would still get one with a bassinet and changing table, but not the other bells and whistles. I like the fact that the changing table on the Graco models is higher than some other brands so you don't have to get a backache leaning over while changing diapers.!

I registered for this one since it matches the decor of my home! What do you feel it has that you don't need? Can you remove those things?
