Recommend your pediatrician near Garden City?
I am moving in 2 weeks from nyc to garden city. I will need to find a new Pediatrician out in LI.
Any recommendations?????
Anyone go to Village Pediatrics, what pediatrician? I heard good things about them.

Dr. Greg Martocci (my ped)
Dr. Elissa Rubin (my Cousin's ped)
They are friends and cover for each other when they go on vacation or sick! I have been to both and they are both great! I love my ped and am partial to him, but my cousin feels the same way about hers! HAHAHA!
They both worked in separate GROUP practices but wanted to break off and have their own office!
They are young and young parents too! SO I feel that helps in being good drs....going through it at home too!

Dr. Herko- she's in NHP though
my best friend is a nurse and brings her daughter there and now we bring ds there and she is wonderful!

I use Village Pediatrics.. and I really like them.. there are 4 peds there, and I usually get whoever is there.. I like all 4 (although I have preferences..) We have been very happy there...

Same experience here; I am very happy with this practice. I have never had a problem getting an appointment and never waited longer than 10 minutes.

Dr. Martocci is our ped too and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this man!!!! I was one of his first patients when he began his own practice and I will never leave him and he knows it

dr. elissa rubin , lactation specialist , dr martocci is her backup she reponds to emails in 20 minutes or less she is just amazing!!! she has a nursing room with rockers its just so amazing i love her to death

We go to University Plaza Pediatrics on Stewart Ave.
There are 5 doctors in the group and they have a sick and well section seperate from each other.
DS is only 7 weeks so we have been there 3 times but I really like them so far.

I totally agree. She is just wonderful, I can't say enough about her! She also offers yoga and CPR classes out of her office, sends you an email with all the latest recalls, etc., and is a lactation consultant which is a big plus if you are BFing. The lactation consultant at Winthrop that teaches the lamaze class I took recommended her and I am so happy we chose her!

I go to Village Peds - they're just okay in my opinion. No sick and well separate waiting rooms and they have very strong opinions about the vaccine schedule. I wanted to only give 2 vaccines a visit and they gave me a very hard time.

We go here too. The separate waiting rooms are the biggest perk! In 5 years I only had one time when I waited a long time and got annoyed, every other time I have been taken right away. Cohen and Sartori are great, and actually so is Pagnotta-- she has young kids and gives realistic advice from that perspective, IMO.
