recommend your play yard
I'm having a difficult time choosing between one with all the bells and whistles that doesn't fold easily, or a simpler one that is easy for travel. Any experienced moms here that can shed some light?

Re: recommend your play yard
I'm not an experienced mom, but I know from babysitting that being able to fold it up easily is the main benefit of a pack n play. I would assume the simpler the better, but what do I know this is my first too!!!

Re: recommend your play yard
We got a Graco pack 'n play. Everyone I know who has it loves it. It easily folds up, which we love, so we can take it to the grandparents houses.

We got two... One that folds up pretty small that we will keep in the trunk or at Grandma's house and a bigger one with all of the bells and whistles to keep at home.

Re: recommend your play yard
I think it depends on how much you plan to use it...we never had one at home and only used a cheaper version for napping at grandma's house and when we went on vacation. For travel, the simpler the better IMO.

Re: recommend your play yard
That's funny..those are the 2 I was deciding between along with the graco reversible napper/changer. I need one that is useful for every day naps and changes at home but i'd like it to set up/fold easily because I will be going on a family vacation for a few days. I'm having anxiety thinking about where this child will sleep!

Re: recommend your play yard
We have a basic pack and play, and honestly, we hardly ever used it. We kept it downstairs if I needed to put the kids down for a moment, but they preferred the swing, that is where they spent most of their time during the day-even sleeping.

Re: recommend your play yard
I wanted to add that the models with the Newborn Napper are actually not recommended for safety reasons, but I know people who have/use them. We decided to buy a model without it, and it saves money, too.
