Looking for a LIGHT WEIGHT running shoe.
I have cheap pair now (that I actually love)but I know they don't provide much with the crappy insoles.

I wear asics kayano.
I recommend you to to a running store to get fitted, though.

Go to a running store to get fitted properly. They can recommend a lightweight shoe if you tell them that is what you are looking for. I recommend Runner's Edge in Farmingdale, or a store just like that.

ASIC gel kayano. Roadrunner sports.com has the best price if you sign up as a VIP (it's 1.99 to do that). I just got the newest Kayano called kayano 20 for $103. Regular price is $159.99

I used to wear Mizunos but the new models weren't doing it for me -
I love Brooks now - I have the Ghost and the PureFlows.

Was it Mizuno Wave Inspires? I wore them for years and then they changed the model--I heard recently they are going back to old structure for next release and I'm so happy!

Re: Recommend your running shoe
Re: running shoes--it all depends on how you run (midfoot striker, forefoot, heel striker, etc.), if you are pronated, if you have a wide or narrow foot, etc. etc.

Re: Recommend your running shoe
I was recently fitted at a running store and needed extra support for a high arch. I got asics GT1000 A lot of support and so much better than my old sneakers
