Hey Ladies,
I need to get a new stove and there are so many out there that i wanted help trying to narrow it down. Please help :(

What type of stove you have and why do you love/hate it?

We have the GE Profile (PHB925SPSS) Induction Range/Convection Oven. We've had it since December and so far I'm really pleased with its performance.

I don't have one to recommend, but I know the next one we buy will be a dual-oven, gas with the controls on the top (not in front where little hands can turn on the burners).

This was our concern/issue. I prefer the look of ranges with the controls knobs in the front, but we didn't want it accessible to our children's "fingers." Chat Icon We also went with induction because it's safer. I don't have to worry about the kids throwing something on the stovetop and it catching fire. (Plus I can boil water in 90 secs. Chat Icon )

We have the Samsung French Door Refrigerator and love it. I was interested in that stove but i heard you have to use certain cook ware and that the top scratches easily, is that not the case for you? Im wondering if thats the case with most smooth top ranges now...Chat Icon

Very nice! Do you have any issues with the smooth top surface?

We have this kitchenaid slide-in range. I LOVE it, love the convection option, the touch screen (which can be locked), the seemless look with our black granite and I just prefer the look of a slide-in (knobs in front - no back).

Issues such as what? It's easy to clean because it's induction...food won't cook to the surface, unlike standard smooth tops. The downside is you need ferrous cookware (metals with iron in it: basically anything where a magnet can stick to the bottom), but you can buy sets from Costco for under $200.

ETA: the only thing I'm disappointed with is the warming draw. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong (I have to read up on it Chat Icon ) because it doesn't seem very effective.

KitchenAid Architect II KGSS907S. I've been doing a lot of cooking lately and it has been great so far. It has a cool wok holder when you turn one of the top grills over Chat Icon Gave me the look I wanted without paying a crazy amount of money.

Issues like scratches easily or pain to clean. I have heard that you need to get cookware as you suggested for induction..didnt know they had a set at costco, thanks for your help!
