Re: recommendation for

We've used all Town Flooring I think they are in the islip area, I do not have there phone # we had our floors sanded and laqured in a co-op, it came out great. It was about $625.00 for a small living room and dining room.

I am not sure of a price for installing floor though.

Re: recommendation for

we paid $1500 for the whole house, minus the kitchen and den...

but i wouldn't recommend the co. we used!! they had to come back twice because they'd left alot of rough spots!

eta: this was for refinishing...not installing a floor.

Re: recommendation for

We are in the process now of having our 3 bedrooms, hallway and living room refinished, and hardwood put down in another hallway... they even filled in some spots where we moved walls...

They started yesterday and we went by to take a peek (don't live there yet, moving this weekend) and it just looked amazing!! I can't even believe that there was ever ceramic tile in that hallway (we had them take it up too) b/c it just looked so seamless and the color matched perfectly (the strip of hallway flows into the LR). Plus, the floors where a mess form the sheetrockers and spacklers Chat Icon , I didn't think that stuff would ever come up!!!

They will be done on Wednesday, and if it continues to go as smoothly as it has, I will be happy to recommend them!!! Chat Icon

Re: recommendation for

To sand and do 3 coats of polyurethene in 3 bedrooms, hallway and LR, plus, take up a ceramic tile floor in the other hallway and put hardwood down there (approx 4' x 12' area) is $1850

Plus he filled in some slats where we moved the walls for free Chat Icon
