Recommendations for party place on the water?
I'm planning a small summer get together party, like 30-40 people. I want to do it at a place on the water where I can have apps, maybe a few chafing dishes and drinks served. I'm pretty flexible with the location but would prefer Nassau or western Suffolk. Either shore is fine. Thanks!

OMG YES YES YES>>>> best place
Louie's Oyster Bar and Grille in PW. On the water, excellent food, gorgeous waterview rooms with deck outside.
We had DDs 1st bday there, everyone raved. Ask me if you want to know more details. I am VERY picky and I HIGHLY recommend.

Louie's is great.
Also Long Beach has a bunch of cool places--Paddy McGee's comes to mind

My family has all their parties at Louies!
I threw a shower there last year and they were great. I think with Tax and tip it was $37 PP.

How about on a lake instead of the Sound or ocean? The Beach Club Estate on Lake Ronkonkoma. We were married and had the reception there.

Re: Recommendations for party place on the water?
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Is Louie's like a restaurant or more of a catering hall? Basically what I'm looking for is a casual type of environment with a bar on the water, hopefully with live music and that I can arrange to have some food put out. I will definitely check out Snapper Inn and Prime too. Thanks again.

Re: Recommendations for party place on the water?
Prime is very chic. It's def. not a "catering hall" place. It's really cool looking and the outdoor area has a fire pit -- which is right off of the bar area. That place is awesome for that type of laidback but stylish party.
We had our eparty at Tellers, same owner, and they were actually surprisingly reasonable and very flex. about pricing and stuff - we planned a great party that didn't cost anywhere near what you'd think.
Also check out Fat Fish in Bayshore! Right on the water - AWESOME!

Re: Recommendations for party place on the water?
Captain Bills - Bayshore
Harbor Crab - Patchogue - not sure if they do private events, but they have a nice deck and usually have live music or DJ

I would check out Fat Fish in Bay Shore. Very popular, bar, good restaurant and live music.

I love Fat Fish so I don't know why I always forget about it. Bridgeview may be a good option too. Thanks again!
