Recommendations roofing and siding

I need help finding a company. We had Babe roof, Splinters, Inc, Parsons, Marcor Roofing and a couple of others. The problem we are having is the prices for roofing start at $6000 and go up to $9000 and prices for siding start at $8000 and go up to $24000. How can these companies charge such a difference in prices? The one that quoted $24000 is so desperate for buisness he said he would match our lowest price.

How many square on the roof?
How many square for the siding?
Are you doing cedar impressions on the front of the house?
It should say on your quotes.

There are different grades of siding that come with different warranties and have different life spans, are they putting foam board behind the siding to help better insulate the house, whats the warranty the workmanship, are they licensed and insured, how long to complete the job, where are they getting their materials from, will the be doing trim work around the corners, edges, windows, etc.

Just make sure you are comparing apples to apples.
