Recycling Question
When you recycle cans or plastic bottles do you crush them or just toss them in the bucket?
Thanks.

Re: Recycling Question
I just toss them...they get cut up at the recycling center anyway.

Re: Recycling Question
Hand-smoosh the gallon milk containers (not quite "crush"), everything else goes in as-is.

Re: Recycling Question
I toss them as is because there's a guy who comes around the neighborhood on recycling day and collects all the bottles & cans. I figure if I'm gonna' be a lazy a$s and not return them, somebody else might as well get some money for them. We probably sent his kids to college.

Re: Recycling Question
We crush the water bottles, crush the cans that don't have deposits, crush milk carton and return the cans with deposits. We try to fit as much as we can in the recycle bin. Our recycle pick up is every other week. (one week plastics & metal, one week paper).

Re: Recycling Question
I hand crush the milk and juice cartons and any soda bottles. Cans and glass go in as is.

Re: Recycling Question
I crush as much stuff as I can just so it all fits in one can since our pickup is every other week. Otherwise I would just toss it
