Red eyelids and newborns?
Found a picture
So my DD was born with little splotches of red on her eyelids and I thought it might be a newborn thing. Now at 5 weeks they have not gone away and Imgetting nervous that they may be large birthmarks. I asked the pedi and he said maybe/maybe not. Anyone ever had this with their DC?

my little girl has them too! I was told it was a newborn thing and not to worry-doubt its birthmarks...

Yup, DS has it over his left eye. It was worse when he was born, and not so bad now. He is 4 months now.

Rylan had this pretty bad also...the nurse called them Angel Kisses. At 9 months I think it's completely gone. I'll try to find some pics for you to see how it fades...I thought he would always have it.

Re: Red eyelids and newborns?
I think the technical term is flemis neives (spelling), it is also referred to as "angel kisses". My DD had them when she was born, now at 5 months they have definitely faded. I think they are supposed to go away completely by 2 years.
ETA: I saw your pic and they look EXACTLY like my DD's. The ped told me what they were when she saw her the first time in the hospital.

Maddie was born with "angel kisses". They fade away as she got older.

OK...so it's not completely gone but I would say hardly noticible. It def gets redder when he cries though. 1 or 2 weeks old 2 1/2 months old about 5 months old 7 months now at 9 months
