Red Leaf Raspberry Tea??
Does this help with anything? I have heard itll help with an easier labor, and contractions etc. I am 25w, and just started drinking it this week. I figured it can't hurt, but does it really work?
I won't go into labor tomorrow right?

Re: Red Leaf Raspberry Tea??
From what I remember, I don't think this is safe during pregnancy.
Double check; but I'm pretty sure its dangerous.
I only know of it helping in TTC.

Red Leaf Raspberry Tea??
I took it for nearly all of my 1st and 2nd pregnancies. I don't think it did anything for me. I needed pitocin to start contractions for my 2nd. But, maybe I would have been worse off without it, I'll never know. I think it might have helped with conception though.

I have heard this exactly. Drink it only after 37 weeks and when TTC.

Yes, don't drink it now. I was told by several OBs that I know to start at 36 weeks or during TTC. I'm 35 weeks and 5 days, I'm going to start this weekend!

Re: Red Leaf Raspberry Tea??
I heard not to take it unless TTC or full term since it causes uterine contractions. I would stop drinking it right away and speak to your doctor to see if it's safe to resume.

Red Leaf Raspberry Tea??
My midwife (Susan Brockmann of South Shore Midwives, who is amazing!!!) suggested drinking two cups a day during my second trimester, then three cups per day during my third. I'm 22+ weeks and began tea leafing it at week 15. That said, based on my own research I'm not entirely convinced it's going to make labor easier but I am convinced (as is she) that it certainly can't hurt.
Am currently downing this brand: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51yRizMma4L.jpg
But have considered ordering these brands: https://www.mountainroseherbs.com/products/raspberry-leaf/profile http://celebrationherbals.com/red-raspberry-leaf-c-s.html
Here are some studies/pages (both for and against RRLT) which I bookmarked about its consumption:

Thanks for all the info! That is the brand i bought actually and had started drinking. (the one you are currently using) I will read through these today when I go on lunch. I appreciate all the information for an against it. I will see what my doctor says... I never would have thought something herbal like this can be so controversial!

Is it controversial? I didn't realize. I think it could cause uterine contractions and that's why you wouldn't want to take during the 1st trimester, to be safer.

I probably shouldn't have used the work controversial. i just meant that there are so many differing opinions here about not taking it until 37 weeks, and it being okay to drink in 2nd and 3rd trimesters. I still really haven't read anything that says is isn't safe at all. I saw the contractions part, and there is a small amount of research saying that it can make your child go through puberty earlier. I am almost in my third trimester, so I will ask my doctor tonight when i go, and then maybe even if she does ok it, maybe just wait a few more weeks until I am in my third.
ETA - from what i had read in the beginning i just figured it really can't hurt. but who knows. I will see what she says tonight

Ah, ok. Honestly, I don't think it helped my labors at all. So, if it worries you, I just wouldn't take it. My 3rd labor was very quick, but I stopped the tea around 30 weeks- not for any reason, I just stopped making it.
