Redmedies for Strep Throat
Do you guys have any ideas?
I have strep throat and I can't take anything because of the baby. Well, I can take Tylenol and Robitussin. The Robitussin did nothing except give me a headache. The Tylenol dropped my fever a little and took the edge off the pain, but I don't want to keep taking it.
Any other suggestions?

Lemon juice and honey will help with the discomfort in your throat.
I had this a coupe of weeks ago and it was not fun. Hope you feel better.

Are you sure? When I had strep, my doctor said I needed to be treated more aggressively bc I was pregnant - I was put on antibiotics right away.

Re: Redmedies for Strep Throat
At this point - I would suggest since you're pregnant calling your dr whenever you're sick - there are different classes of antibiotics that you can or can't be on. Something about "class B" antibiotics. I'm not a big antibiotic fan to begin with & prefer any kind of natural remedy but you have to conserve your strength. We're not drs on this website (at least none that I know of) - so get your medical advice from the experts.
Your entire body is focusing on the baby - so anything the baby needs it gets first. You need to make sure that your body stays strong. I also know that my dr didn't want me to have a high fever when I was pregnant, but than again advice varies by doctors.
Take care & feel better!
