Refesher course needed - Temping, Charting, OPKs
Jeez, you'd think it was 10 years ago I have no recollection on a few things, hoping you ladies can help me out:
1) What is the difference between an open circle and a filled-in circle on fertility friend? The only thing I can see different on the days is that I went from menstruating (sorry, TMI) to spotting - is that all it means?
2) what is the best time of day to do OPKs again? I know it's not like pregnancy tests in that it's FMU but I cannot remember the times.
That's it for now, though I'm sure I'll have more soon
TIA

Usually you get that open circle when there is something off - like if you normally temp at 6AM and that day you did at 8AM. It marks the inconsistency.
Best time to use the OPK is afternoon after not peeing for a couple of hours.

Ok, see, that's what I thought it was. BUT, I haven't it's the first two days I temped since April 2007 that have the open circles. Do you think it could be based on my old pregnancy chart, using that as the standard time?
Thanks for the OPK info. I don't want to do them at work so I'll just do them when I get home from picking DS up at 6:30/40.

.
Do you have the default setting on for your wake up time (from the past)? Maybe that's throwing it off?

just wanted to add to this...
best time for OPK is:
between 2 & 8:00 PM.
Try to hold for 4 hours (i say try because some people just can't do it and other say they tried after 2 hours and got a good result).
Try to limit the amount you drink during the hold - as it will 'dilute' the hormone you are testing for.
good luck!

Also, if you put "sleep deprived" on your chart, that will give you an open circle for that day too.

Oh yeah, I forgot it does it for that one too. I might need a refresher also
