reflux moms...pls help
DD has reflux and is on 0.8 ml of zantac 2x a day. Shes still screaming and arching. How many mls is your DC on? Im wondering if its not working or shes just not on enough...

Zantac did nothing for my DS, he had to be put on prevacid and once we did that he was a 100% different baby

DD takes 2 ml of zantac twice a day.
The dosage goes by weight so she might not be getting enough

My son is on Axid 3x a day, .8 is the dosage. He is 13lbs. He is doing well but we may have to switch to prevacid because he once in a while arches and screams when he spits up.

Zantac didn't help my dd at all switched to axid and prlosec now we have gotten rid of axid

Ds was on Zantac it worked but we had to change his dose a few times bc of his gaining weight so quickly. He was so much better in dr brown bottles you should def try that and secured ready to feed bc it was thicker then bm or powder. I feel for you, my ds was miserable for 8 weeks

DD was put on zantac and we actually stopped since it was not working. We took her to a chiropractor and with time it helped

Ugh...Im at my witts over here. She is 10 weeks, maybe 11 lbs. They just upped her zantac to 3x a day, and I picked it up today. I have a feeling Im going to pedi tomorrow and asking for prevacid. I hope insurance dosent give me grief. Shes eaten 4 oz today...its 10PM. She wont eat, she screams when she sees the bottle. Its so fustrating- I hate to see her in pain and I know she MUST be starving.

My DS started on 1 ml and have gradually upped it to 2ml 2x a day. He went on 2ml when he was approx 17lbs.

DS is on Axid 1 ml 2x/day. The docs said they like Axid better because there's no alcohol in it. Also, DS was put on it when he was 19 days and still only 8 lbs. They said it wax a high dose for his weight. It seems to do the acid neutralization trick, but he was still spitting up all the time. He is now also on Enfamil AR + rice cereal to thicken it. I now also have to thicken my pumped breast milk. This is a total bummer. Beause I was planning onEBF for at least 3 months... But it's working--- DS gained a pound in one week!!!

I could have written this post! I feel exact the same way, I'm ready to jump off a bridge. DD is the sweetest, cutest thing I've ever seen & it's so sad to see her screaming all the time! I try so hard to have patience & keep a positive attitude but it's really hard.
DD is 10.5lbs & 10 weeks also, she is on Axid, .08ml 2x a day but I don't know if it's working.
Some feedings are better then others but not much, it's usually torture. Hopefully they will outgrow this soon.

At first I used the rice cereal, but DS still spit up a bunch. So now I disperse what I pump in his bottles of the formula plus the rice cereal, and that seems to be working. I also just give him the boob when he wakes up at night/early morning. I hated pumping, so now if DS fusses at all during the day I give him the boob. I might pump once a day now...

My DD had acid reflux terrible - she spit up from one bottle straight through to the next. We tried several formulas - ended up with Gentlease and I would add rice cereal to it. She was also on medicine 3 times a day - She was on that for several months. She eventually grew out of it. It is so hard to see them uncomfortable. I hope you find the right combo that works for you!

same for my DS. We also had to start putting rice cereal in his bottles to help the reflux.
